You would leave vBulletin due to progress?
I would once again leave vBulletin if vBulletin 4.0.0 didn't have a significant overall improvement from the administrator control panel to the default theme. vBulletin can't afford to miss the step forward into Web 2.0 or perhaps, Web 3.0 - especially not when their competitors from both the premium & free realms are already stepping up to the plate.
vBulletin 3.7.0 is a good first step, it needs improvements from the tagging system to the user galleries (allowing comments for pictures) - I even feel the social groups could be better. Most of these gripes will either be changed by vBulletin developers or perhaps by a developer at vBulletin.org.
