I bought vbulletin this morning and paid via paypal with funds in the account, so how long till I get the email?

If you had funds in your PayPal account, it would have only taken a couple of minutes. Most likely you either blocked the customer email as spam, or you did not have enough funds to cover this and PayPal issued an eCheck.
