    Deosn't matter, you'd need a license for each "site"/"subdomain".

Its pretty specific in the license agreement we do not allow anything like this.

But I'm not installing vbulletin files onto the subdomain, its all running off one set of files with a hosting script, that makes each subdomain's forum all private to each other. So I really only need is one licence?

    Delphi is right.

You'd have to have a license for each sub domain, unfortunately.

    hi,

You are not allowed todo this with vBulletin unless you have licence for each vBulletin instance created and that might cost you $$

vBulletin license grants you the right to run one instance (a single installation) of the Software on one web server and one web site for each license purchased. Each license may power one instance of the Software on one domain. For each installed instance of the Software, a separate license is required. Modifications to the Software or database to circumvent the one-license-one-board rule are prohibited.

    Sort of hosting vBulletin

Okay, now, I found a host script that allows me to host thousands of message boards with only one set of files, obviously, I might use this with vBulletin, but how it says you're only allowed one alias for one set of files, what happens if I don't put them on a alias myself, what happens if I host their forum with my hostscript and they get a free domain like from uni.cc, and set a CNAME to me?
