  • database integration question

Hi, I have a website with articles, blog, many interactive tools and online games etc. We created only one database so our members log in only once onto the site and they keep the same details all through the site. This way our site displays the accurate info for their profile and they can have personalised access to the tools and calendars/calculators etc remember their history and display the latest info individually.

Now: I'm thinking of buying vBulletin as it is a complex forum and I'm not very happy with our existing forum (custom built).
My question: Will it be possible to integrate vBulletin in our database or syncronize the two databases (ours and the vBulletin's one) so our users keep their username when they use the forum?
    Thanks for your help,
    Lorena

Integrating vBulletin with a non-vB member system would require a rather extensive modification of the code. Of course, we cannot provide official support for code modifications. What most people do is modify their current system to use the vB member system.

Either way the place for help with this would be over at the mod site: http://www.vbulletin.org

Once you register you can post in the Pre-Sales forum there.
