I imagine if your forum is 30GB, then you have an EXTREMELY BUSY forum and you can pay for fast internet with Banner Ads.

When you backup vBulletin, it is one file, a SQL file.

Did you buy the license in the mean time?

I've practically been appointed sysop on the forum I'm working on; previously I've only ever moderated a forum running vBulletin. I'm teaching myself all the setup and administration **** as I go, with heaps of help and searching from this forum.

Do I need to get the actual owner to get in contact with you in order to perform a backup, or do I need to get license details? He wants me to teach him how to do a regular forum backup; he's not as forum-literate as I am.

To get vB support on these forums you first need to be a licensed customer and register for Priority Forum Support. To do this, please go here:

              http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php

...and enter your email address in one of the boxes. You'll need to have your customer number and password to access the page.

Once you've done this, please post in the appropriate support forum for your version.
