Excuse me, but what do you mean by the "illegal translations"? I suppose, those are the ones that have the author's copyright notice removed from them? Heck, but why would someone remove it anyway? The only reason I see for editing his particular copyright notice is that it's been referring to "vbulletin.net.ru", which itself might be a very strong argument for a valid license holder to replace some parts of that text. Anyway, even if such a link is removed without touching the text of the copyright, it doesn't make the translation illegal. That's it.

You can not delete the copyrights.
I'll just say this cause it's a fact:
You can not remove the copyright in the footer as it must remain viewable on the board or else you are breaking the License Agreement.
I believe you can change the footer copyright down to "Powered by vBulletin®, Copyright ©2000 - 2007, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd."
I am not vBulletin staff, as I said before, stating a fact here.
