If my partners and I split, and they purchase their own vbulletin license, set it up with a different domain. Can we transfer the current database to their new licensed software without any trace of the previous licensed owner(me) being transferred with that database?

You can do this by simply using the existing database with the new license purchased and deleting the account of the current admin, if required. Some settings will need to be changed also in the Admin Control Panel to completely remove the details from the original site. -
