  • Migrating from IPB to VBulletin

    Hey guys,

I have a forum with IPB that has abour 116,000 posts and 4k Members. I would like to migrate it from IP.Board 2.2 to VBulletin 3.6.4. I was wondering.

I understand there is some sorta of script that will allow us to imgrate from IPB to VB 2.0 and then I can upgrade versions or?

Does anyone have an idea how to do this... and what is the best path?!
Any help is always a huge +.

    Thanks!

Yes, we have an import script for IPB. You can read about it here:

    http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex_ipb2 (IPB 2)

Please note that since IPB passwords are encrypted, they cannot be imported. Your users will need to reset their passwords after the import. You can read more about this here:

      Hey Guys,

      When importing I get this:

Invalid ImpExData object, skipping. Failed on : userid

Does anyone have an idea about how to fix this?

      Thanks!

To get vB support on these forums you first need to be a licensed customer and register for Priority Forum Support. To do this, please go here:

        http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php

...and enter your email address in one of the boxes. You'll need to have your customer number and password to access the page.

Once you've done this, please post in the appropriate support forum for your version.
