  • two forum on the same domain?

Hi, i want to have a swedish forum part and a English one. Is it ok to install two vbulletin forums on the same domain? because i want them to be on separate myslq databases? Or do i need a extra licence for that?

You would need a separate license for that. A license only lets you run one instance.

      Hello,

Thank you for your interest in the vBulletin forum software.

Yes, you can install as many forums on one or more domains as you need. Each instance of a forum requires a license. If you want one separate forum for one language, and another one for the english language you will require to purchase two licenses.

Please note that one vBulletin instance, one running board can run multiple langauges at the same time.

Thats great but it would be better to run two forums, due to the actual forums on the forum will be which ever language you typed them in, no matter how many language packs you install.

          Just a brainstorming here.

Couldn't he make the forum installation.

One forum would have to be default.
But depending on the user, couldn't you assign a user group or have it public joinable?
One usergroup can see and posts in all English along with the forums written in English,
Other usergroup would see different forums for all Swedish?

There may be a plugin over at vb.org on this, but as well you can link to the forums with the variable of langid=2

One half of the forum in English and another in the other language?

One forum will have the names and descriptions in English, and the others can have the same in its own, then to get the buttons and whatnot, use the langid variable.
