    1. Windows Host or Linux Host for VB 3.6?
    2. Is it possible to move to VB3.6 from PHPBB with out loosing everything?
    3. Any known problems with running VB 3.6 on Godaddy Deluxe Hosting plain?

Yes I also was hoping to see an answer to his 3rd question..

Any known problems with Godaddy shared accounts running vBulletin? I have up to 50 MySQL databases but the version of MySQL is just over the minimum required for vB. PHP version is more than good enough though, its just I'm concered about any issues I might run into if I host this board on a Godaddy Premium shared hosting account. Any input is greatly appreciated.

      Thx

Godaddy is a great domain registrar, but as for hosting, there has been some problems people have. There are ways of getting around them, but they tend to be a little tricky.

My suggestion is to find a better host, other than Godaddy.

Yea I'm finding that out the hard way about godaddy. I've had trouble with them for 2 weeks and they refuse to admit their is a problem. So I'm starting to look into new hosting for my small forum, and figure now might be a good time to switch to VB also.

I really need to know does VB need a Linux Host, or a Windows Host??

vBulletin will be able to run pretty much in any kind of environment providing that it has PHP/MySQL installed.
Congratulations on the death of vBulletin, Internet Brands.

Thx VERY much for all your input. I realize Godaddy is not the best host to use for things like this, I was mainly just wanting to know if it would work which has been answered I can always change hosts later as the # of users increases. Eventually I might go with a dedicated server just for the performance end. Thx again!

vBulletin won't install on the Windows servers offered by GoDaddy. You'll have to be on the Linux servers.
