    multiple domains = multiple buys?

$740? that is what i would have to spend to post this software...i have 5 domains and would absolutly LOVE to use this software! but to spend this amount of money is crazy...i would spend $160 with no sweat. i just cant picture myself having to purchase the same thing 5 times. i guess i dont understand it. that would be like me buying photosphop for $400+(which i have) over and over again. can someone explain this process to me? maybe i am just not getting something here.

It really translates to one license per install.

So having www.example.com www.example.net and www.example.org pointing to one vBulletin forum would only require one license.

Well can you describe your plans and if you have existing sites/forums up at this time? Maybe we can suggest a setup that will fit within the licensing terms and yet not break your budget.

The general rule of thumb is one license for each domain but bulk discounts are available if you are purchasing multiple licenses.

As for the analogy, it is incorrect. You would need to have a photoshop license for every PC you installed the software on.

I appreciate the quick reply guys.
I'm not meaning to come in and *****, just wanted to get some things addressed before I actually do make a purchase.
I guess I’m very shady when it comes to money and don’t want to have to spend more than I have too.

I understand what you are saying MacVicar. But I was kind of hoping to have separate forums, as all the sites are unrelated.
I am currently running SMF, but the options on VB or SO SO SO much better. I may purchase one license, see how it goes and then base my decision off of that. I don’t necessarily NEED multiple boards, I just like the software so much that I would like to have it on all sites. Anyway, I do appreciate the replies!!!
