I would like a owned license but I was wondering if you had to renew to get upgrades.

Yes, you have to renew in a year after you buy the owned license.

SNN is partially correct. Yes you do have to renew to get updates, however you can renew at any point in time after your initial one year of free updates ends. You do not have to renew immediately

Yeah, I thought common sence would tell you about the life-time thing, since it is easily known to upgrade at any point to get the upgrade, altho I would choose ASAP lol.

• You own the vbulletin forum script and can use it indefinitely

Well I was confused because I also own IPB and the prepetual there is lifetime upgrades.

Anyways, I will buy another IPB license only because the prepetual license is not going to be sold anymore after 2.2 is released. If I dont get the money in time I will go VBB or perhaps a month later I will go VBB since the pricing and terms here are stable.
