    Updating

    Hi, all !!

I am thinking to purchase a licence for the forum I want to start.
I tried phpBB before, and it's kinda ok, not too bad. The one thing that was annoying was the little "updates" and "bug fixes" and "such, and such and such" releases that came out, almost weekly.
I am not a computer programming geek, so I used to get really confused.

Since VBulleting is a paid license, what would I have to do when such an "update" came out?? How would I implement it?? Is it any simpler??

Would its installation be any simpler, more automated ??

    Thanks a lot !!

Since vB offers "Plugins" functionality which allows you to 'hack' your board without ediitng the code, upgrading is simply uploading new files to the server, running the update script, and you're ready to go. It's quite automated in my view

Also templates are stored in the database, rather than handfuls of files. You just upload every folder except images when upgrading.
