  • Where is vBulletin API?

I looked into the documentation page, and I don't see anything related to API. More specifically, I am looking for the API to login and retreive private messages.

The vBulletin API is only avaible inside of the members area.

if so, can I just ask, does the API have a feature to send and retrieve private messages?

        What's an API?

APIs are implemented by writing function calls in the program, which provide the linkage to the required subroutine for execution. In my eyes, what we call the API in the members area is actually more of functions/datamanagers documentation.

The data managers (DM) in vBulletin are currently only for inputting and editing data. You could send PMs with the DMs but you currently can't retrieve them.

Can you tell me where? I looked for awhile on the day 3.6 was released and couldn't find it - I thought it was being updated for 3.6 and not available at the time. I still can't find it in the member's area.

            Update:
Ok I just checked again and found 3.5 when will 3.6 be out?

hum.. i'd thought retrieving is more trivial than sending..
how about this, is it possible to send the content of the PM to an email once received, and I can pull in that email!?

My objective is to develop a PM client for vBulletin.

You'd have to use plugins to achieve that, but yes, the DMs make it quite a bit easier.
