Import Question

OK, I have one SMF board and one PhpBB board.

I want to import both into vB.

I've read that this is possible, but here's my question:

If I do this over a couple of days are the SMF and PhpBB boards still operable until I get finished?

I know I'll lost the last day or so's posts, but that's ok.

Last question: Does it present a problem if you have the same username on both boards that you want to import?

Yes, no data is changed in the source boards.

You can install vbulletin, install impex on top of it and run smf import.
Then shut down your smf board and then import the phpbb board and once done shut that down.

Tweak the usergroups and permissions and set up your forums and open your new vbulletin live board.
