  • Can someone plesae point me to the page which officailly says you have 60 days to upgrade from leased to owned licence?

I want to confirm that I can poay $85 right now for a leased licence and then 60 days later only have to pay another $75 to have it setup as an owned licence.

    Thanks

    • This is not listed anywhere that I know of. However you have it slightly wrong. ou can upgrade from a leased to an owned license for an additional $85 if you do so within 60 days of the purchase. After 60 days, it is full price.

      • $85 is fine with me .. I think this is a great way to offer a sort of payment plan to get the full meal deal. I was mainly concerned that the 60 day thing is "official" and not a regular member making a post about it.

Would I be correct in assuming I would contact the sales department and make arrangements with them to go from leased to owned within the 60 days? Or is there a speciifc procedure to do this?

        • Actually that offfer will show up in your Members Area for 60 days.

          • Thank you for your help, it really is appriciated. I do however recomend that this is posted on the official sales info page so people like me who actully read the policy etc will have this information. It was really only by dumb luck I have found this forum post and it really is the final deciding factor to purchased Vb.

            cheers

            • I'll see about adding that. Thank for the suggestion.

Can I Upgrade a Leased License to Owned?

You can upgrade from a leased to an owned license for an additional $85 if you do so within 60 days of the purchase. After 60 days, it is full price.

If you are a current customer and it's within the 60 days, the 'Leased License Upgrade Offer' is available when you click on the 'Upgrade/Renew' link under License Options.

                • This is my 3rd year of a leased license, I can't afford even an upgrade fee, I'm pathetic I know, but when you have family and such its hard to pay an additional price to upgrade to an owned license, plus I rather enjoy a leased license. It reminds me to come here to check up on things. One day I plan to get an owned license but until then, I am just stuck with a leased license.

                    btw, small minor suggestion:

I'm just a stickler for documentation and having exact instructions.

Thanks again for your time and help. It really is appriciated.

                      • I thought the yearly license was only $69.95 USD?

Had a look and its $85 USD.

If I pay with paypal am I able to pay in Australian Dollars to avoid the currency conversion fee?

                        • The leased license has always been $85 USD, and sorry there is no way to pay with AUD.

                          • An Idea is to work out wether USD, GBP, or EUR has the best conversion rate, then pay that way.

Cheaper to do it in USD as then I only pay $111.00 AUD (depending on the rates tomorrow as well). If I paid in euros I would end up paying $119 AUD and in British Pounds it is even more.

I should open an HSBC account in USD for purchases like this.

But I like Australian Dollars as they're almost fraud proof (printed on patented polymer substrate) which is a plastic rather than a paper.

                              • Oh and I should respond to the main thread.

Just because a leased license doesn't suit you it doesn't mean it doesn't suit other people. Is there any harm in Jelsoft offering CHOICE? If you don't like it get the owned license. Jelsoft has given you that choice.

I would have thought choice was a good thing for consumers!
