Question about post counts

With vBulletin is it possible to alter/spoof member post counts, so it reflects their post count from an old forum, a forum that unfortunently cannot be imported?

When each member signs up, I'd like to be able to adjust their post counts so our old members don't have to start at 0.

I believe you can do this through phpmyadmin by editing each name.

That's not possible from within vBulletin, but it's possible, as whitetigergrowl said, by editing the data directly in the database.

Last time I checked, you can alter that number in the ACP when looking at a users' details - look for 'Post Count' in the profile section.

Not sure why you're being told that this has to be done in the database.

There's a field right there in the AdminCP under each username Posts that you can edit.

The problem you run into is if you ever do any of the maintenance operations in vB, it will recalculate all of your user's post counts to match the actual number of posts they have on your current forum.

What kind of forum is this? vBulletin presently imports EZBoard but none of the other "hosted" forums like ProBoards.
