  • A Few Questions

I have been researching forum software for some time now and I think that vB is the best I have come by I currently admin a few phpBB forums hosted on my own host and one IPB forum hosted on forumer.com. phpBB is excellent for being free, especially with mods. IPB has a lot of bloated and confusing 'features' that I don't like. My questions are as follows:
    a) What are the specific PHP settings (if any) required for vB?
    b) How smooth usually is the changeover from phpbb to vb?
    c) Is there any hosting service, such as http://phpbbforfree.com or http://forumup.com for vB?

    Thanks in advance.

    a) You can find the requirements on our homepage. To see if your server can run vBulletin, you can download a test script from this thread: Testing Your Server

    b) Usually very smooth (If you look through our Import System forum you will see that most questions are related to users unable to find the correct configuration information to connect to both databases, not many "real" problems)

    c) vBulletin don't have a hosting service.
