  • PHPNUKE Platinum to vBulletin (Review)

I wanted to put this here since most people will come to this forum. We recently purchased vBulletin and I cannot say enough about vBulletin.

I had gone through every adaptation of Nuke trying to speed up our forums.
    Nuke-Korea
    PHPNuke
    PHPNuke Platinum
    Even plain old PHPBB

My last was PHP Platinum 7.6.2.

First I followed the directions here:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showp...58&postcount=4
NOTE (contrary to the instructions): Private Messages will import, ALL OF THEM, if you never deleted your PMs in Nuke, the one's over 50 are still there, some of my people got 900PMs in their inbox now! Attachments will also Import.

So to add to the instructions:
    Copy over...
    nuke_bbattachments
    nuke_bbattachments_desc
    nuke_bbprivmsgs
    nuke_bbprivmsgs_text
    nuke_bbvote_desc
    nuke_bbvote_results
    nuke_bbvote_voters
Rename all of them replacing "nuke_bb" with "phpbb_" as per #3.

Everything went smoothly Using vBulletin 3.5.3 & ImpEx 1.74.
    140,000 Posts
    176 Forums (90 categories)
    3,800 Users
    14,000 PMs

The board is lightening fast now with twice the people online and I feel it's the best money we ever spent, we just out grew open source free software. It's so fast now we got 7 new registrations in the first 12 hours!

    A Satisfied Customer.
