vb_test.php (magic_quotes_gpc = FAIL)

Well, I just performed the vb_test.php and everything passes except for one:
- Recommended Settings
-- magic_quotes_gpc = FAIL

Although, when I click on the link it says that it should be turned off. So, what problems will occur with the forum when I install it? Should I ask my host to update the php.ini file - or is it not really necessary?

You shouldn't encounter any problems. There will be a slight (negligible) performance hit, but no functionality will be lost. It's fine to run vBulletin with magic_quotes_gpc on.
