  • Just a very quick payment question

How long does a payment made by worldpay take to clear ?

Just purchased , not in a rush (still got a few things to sort out at the server end) but wondered if it would be like a few hours or a day or two thats all.

It usually take 24hrs to process. However consider using Metacharge as it's faster

      Hello,

Thank you for your recent purchase and for contacting vBulletin After-sales.

How quickly you get the license info depends on the payment method you use. The quickest is with PayPal using the funds in your PayPal account. This should take just a few minutes unless the payment was an eCheck payment, in which case it usually takes 3-5 business days to clear.

Credit Card payments can take up to 24 hours to be verified.

Wire Transfers can take up to 4-5 business days.

And finally checks can take as long as necessary for the check to reach us, be deposited and clear our bank.

License information, regardless of payment method, is not issued until the payment clears our system.

If you believe that payment has cleared our system and you still haven't received the information, please reply with the email address and name used to order, as well as the order ID and payment method, but contact us through [email protected] to get proper support with this.

      All the best,

          All accepted now.

BUT... i have a small problem before i download the software

It says i need to put in the url of where the forum will be located , but we are currently using a hosted invision board and my new webspace doesnt have a name pointing at it yet (sorry im not up on tech terms) so do i put for the location where it is for the moment (ie just the ip address) ???

because i wont be making it "live" for a week or three till i am happy with it all.

if so can i then change the url to the real one when its all set and ready to go and i have changed the name servers over ?

edit ... sorry ignore this post ...its all sorted now , it was me not paying attention properly... its obvious what to do.

You can change it to any url at any time, which helps you move your forum from location a to b.

If you run it on a localhost enter http://localhost/
and if run on an intranet enter http://intranet/

an IP address is ok too.
