Professional Installation?

Ok i have very little knowledge about computers. Should i buy the professional installation? Could i do it myself?

While the installation isn't hard, some people feel more comfortable with having professional staff install vBulletin for them.
If you like you can also buy vBulletin, try to install it yourself, and buy the professional installation option later on if it doesn't work the way you want it to.

What colin said. Although i would say its not worth it, because i have about 1 percent knowledge in comps, yet i was able to install it, with just a little MYSQL database help from a vb official

Give it a try, you will learn a lot of the what-to's and will help you to understand your software for further troubleshooting.

If at the end of the day, you cant install it, then go for the pro's help.

On your first try you can, but eventually you'll have to do it yourself. It's like riding a bike first with training wheels, but eventually you'll have to ride without them.

Installing vB is very simple (grandma can do it). The hard part is the customizing to give your forum a different look and feel. That will take a while to learn (but if you do [and a motivation to do so] -- you can make money helping others).
