Im about to aquire a owned vb licnese, but i have a question first. I have a phpbb forum, with about 13,000 posts, and 200 members. I want to transfer it over to vb, I had my friend who is a licenese holder of vb try a few times to convert the db and just test it on his forum to see if it works, and i didn't . He used the tool avalible from the members section to download, the converting tool. Anyway, will this be a problem? upon converting the users where their, but where all over, no order, or join date etc.. The posts said they where there, but they were not.

I have a few mods on my phpBB forum, attachtment, auto resize pictures, and avatars. Also I have a google indexing mod, and that is about it.

Also will it be hard to migrate over attachtments from phpBB to vb?

    Thanks, Ferrarislave

I know that all recent versions of phpBB can be converted into vBulletin via ImpEx, but I don't think it can easily port over hacks and attachments.

Quillz, always quick to chime in...

phpBB imports into vB with attachments intact.

I have tried a few times with impex on my friends forum, it was all messed up. No posts, no attachtments, or forums, just user names. Can anyone help me out, i am willing to pay to get the db transferd correctly.

I hope you're not trying to ask for help indirectly

Try going to the AdminCP -> Maintenance -> Update Counters

Go through all of those and rebuld/update every one.

What do you mean not ask for help indirectly? I am trying to find out what to do, as I tried it a few times and it didn't work. Like I said I am willing to pay for it to be done right.

              I will try that, thanks!

The problem is that you are posting in the Pre-Sales forum so he does not know if you are licensed or not. You should post in the appropriaate support forum.
