upgrades after a year?

I already bought a license for vBulleitin but since i haven't past the 30 days period I can still pay the extra $85 and get a lifetime license..
my question is, if i get the lifetime license, what happens after a year if I wanted to get a new upgrade? how much would it cost me? or will I have to buy a new license?

To get access to the member's area after 1 year, I believe the cost is $30.

This is a private section on our web site for customers. You will always have access to the members area, regardless of the status of your license, or license type.

Inside the members area your licenses (if any) will be listed. Each license will have the license type listed, and the expiry date listed. Each license will have (depending on the license type and status) download links and renewal/upgrade links.

The download link will appear when you have a leased license, and your license is active. If the license has expired you can only renew the license. With a leased license you may not continue to run vBulletin or download vBulletin until you renew the license. Renewal costs for a leased license are $85 for 12 more months. Renewing the license will also give you download access again to the latest available version.

The download link will appear when you have a owned license, and your license can be active/expired. With a owned license you are permitted to continue to run vBulletin on your web site, and you are permitted to download the versions from the members area that were available to you when the license was not yet expired. (Note that the expiry date reflects the download access with a owned license!). You can, at any time you see fit as this is option, renew the download access to also get access to the latest available version. The Renewal costs for a owned license are $30 for 12 more months.
