    Close the thread if you can't handle responding. That's just great. vB needs to reconsider the role their customers play in their profit margin. I told you from the beginning that I wasn't the person who created the acount but the original owner responded to you more than enough times after that trying to prove his identity - you chose to ignore him and failed to provide another way of doing so until tonight. You got stuck on those 3 or 4 personal e-mails that he either didn't receive or responded to but you never received. We didn't update any information last March so perhaps with all your security measures in place, you're not all that secure (if someone actually did it). We haven't made any changes to our account since the summer of 2004. I was the only person accessing it since it was last renewed so there is a good chance that I'd know.

    I'm done now ...unless someone else has a wise-ass remark up their sleeve.

      Steve seemed to be very reasonable in trying to contact the owner on file but I guess the guy doesnt check his emails often huh? tsk tsk

        I didn't create the account. The procedures need to provide for such possibility (ie by allowing to add other account admins in case one of us gets hit by a bus).
        A written down password is not really all that secure - now, is it?

          Our forums are not the place for customers to get into a fight with eachother.

          Phoenix, we've explained the situation, and you have explained it from your point of view. We both have to understand eachother.

          To my knowledge the license holder has not added a follow up with the required information.


          And as you are not the license holder we can not just do what you request, otherwise anybody could change anything on just anybody's customer or license details.

          Contact the license holder and let him login to the members area, once logged in he can view his tickets and respond to them. If he can not login let him email the information like customer number, license number, purchase details, and security question to us, and have him link back to the support tickets you created so we know where it comes from.

          Once the license holder has verified everything we can continue.

          There really is no need to bypass our forum rules by creating new threads when we have closed the one to stop the conversation. Update your support ticket instead, because duplicate threads and support tickets will only cause confusion and delay things.

          I understand your frustration, but we have to go through our protocol, company policy and respect our customers privacy.
