User Manual or Documentation

I have vBulletin 3.0.5 and am a new vBulletin user.

I have looked and looked for documentation such as a User's Guide to find information about vBulletin. No luck.

Simple questions come up like: the button next to a userid which is normally green when someone is on-line is sometimes red for some users. What does that mean? I looked in FAQ, the admin manual and even the forums but have not found an answer. It seems like it should be a simple thing to find an answer to these types of questions but I spend way too much of my time trying to find such answers.

What am I missing?????

You are right. Every possible question someone can have is not answered in the documentation. We do our best to cover the basics, but completely documenting everything is not feasible.

The 'red' button means that the usser has chosen to be invisible but you, as an Admin, can see that he/she is currently online.

Thanks for your answer Steve. I guess this is the only place to get these simple questions answered. That saves me a lot of time spinning my wheels.

Online legend:

[green] - User is online.
[grey] - User is offline.
[red] - User is invisible.
