  • Central User Database?

    Hi Team,

I'm wonder if it's possible to have different vB installes sharing one user database?

    My Problem:
I run a gaming community of LAN events.
    • My members are the events.
    • The event's members are the gamers.
    • Gamers have to create different accounts for different events.
    My Solution:
    • vB for each event to replace their forums (mostly phpbb which I hate!)
    • Once central user database, every time a user registers on one of the sites, it's added to the central user database and can login to all sites (but is tagged as "belonging" to that event (for email purposes etc).

This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however can try searching or asking for help with this over at
