RSS Feeds on VBulletin

I have a newbie question. Can you place an RSS Feed on a site running VBulletin? Can you have different feeds coming from different sections of the board?

vBulletin 3 includes an external feed system which allows to to feed the latest ten public threads to external pages. Here's a thread explaining this:

Is it possible to have the RSS option in the status bar of the browser?

I understand from the manual that RSS can only be used on forums that "guest" has access to.. is there a way around this? If a user has rights to the forum and has the cookie keeping him/her logged in on that machine, couldn't that user's account be used to gain access to registered forums? or is there a way to automatically "publish" the needed data from the site? I'm new to the RSS thing and imagine the answer is yes, if I just took the time to think it thru and write some PHP script to do it..

I don't know of any way to get around this since the feed goes out to a site or sites, not a person.

I'm trying to use just a specific forum instead of using all the posts. I read the things in the links above and those did not seem to work correctly. Is there a specific rss link where I can just enter the forum id?

how about full text descriptions of posts as oppose to just titles? Or is that something I'd have to parse out myself? Like a most recent post rss feed.

RSS2 has a description... but not a full post.

Where is the RSS2 option? Will that allow me to get an RSS feed of the most recent posts?

I have 'enable RSS synd' checked to yes from the vb options > vb options > external data.
