    What is the difference? It seems confusing.

    Just the terminology. The preferred name is "style."

      i don't know maybe a skin adds images to the forums and a style just changes the colors :/

      at least that is how i may put it, if i would make a difference

            You actually did say what I was about to: a "skin" often implies images and other file resources included with a style set, which only defines some CSS and HTML.

            But for simplicity's sake: they're the same thing.

              I guess each to there own, vB call them styles, which forums like IPB call them skins, is a real pain. Personal view styles sounds alot more professional
