  • Upgrading from Web Wiz

    Hi,

I have a website that uses Web Wiz version 7.9 (with Microsoft Access Database) as the forum software. Unfortunately my site was shut down this week because it was causing CPU cycle / RAM problems with the host. The problem is because I use an Access database and there are now too many users. And so I have had to close that forum and look for alternatives.

VBulletin has been recommended to me as the best alternative, and I've been told that it shouldn't cause similar problems with my host (streamlinenet.co.uk).

Before I purchase VBulletin I'm just wondering if you think it might be possible to keep the data from my last forum and convert it to vBulletin? It would be a perfect solution for me, if this was possible.

My web wiz forum has just over 200,000 posts and 2877 users, with about 20 concurrent users the norm.

Thanks a million, I really appreciate your advice.

Sorry, there is no option to do that. You would have to convert to MyQL first.
