what happends if someone give you a zip file of the vbulletin board should i install it on my server or just delete it off my computer?

Unless you are the registerd, legal owner, with a customer number and password as issued by Jelsoft, this would be concidered an illegal version on vBulletin, and you will almost certainly be asked to remove it. Not worth being put in that position in my opinion.
So I would just delete it, and puchase a valid licence from Jelsoft. Best software available, always updated for security issues, and worth every penny they ask for.

the person who sent it to you i believe is in breach of agreement as well and can be legally brought to court for that. since its a crime
but yeah i agree with stuart i just purchased vbulletin but they been around for a while and all there forums are quality material and seem to always be running unlike most the other forum software out thereComment
