I have a domain that is registered and hosted with 1and1. It has 500MB storage and I dont know about databases but it allows for one MySQL database with 100MB storage. Am I eligible to run VB?
Can I run VB on my domain?

Try running vb_test.php from this thread. Upload it to your server and then go to it in your browser. Enter in the login information to MySQL and it will run a series of tests on your server to make sure vBulletin can run on it.Comment

You may wish to check with your host on your MySQL permissions as well as tell them that you are trying to install VB and see if they can be of any help. To be honest, there is very little we can do from here because we are not familiar with how each host have their system configured.Best Regards,

I am running Vb on my site and that is hosted by 1&1 as well. there should be no problems with the PHP or Mysql, they have the latest safe editions of both. The only problems you may face is that you will have used your only available database with your package and you might eventually find that 100mg is not enough if your forum gets big ( that bit is concerning me as well )

If you can't do this or don't want to, please let us know which package you are on with them and we can determine if you have MySQL and PHP.Comment

Be aware that 1&1 is notorious for limiting the mysql database to only 100MB regardless of the size of your hosting package.Comment

I spoke with this person via Email.
He is looking for a host that will provide him with vB.
Which we ALL know is AGAINST the licensing policy.
So, he gave me the impression he knows where to get hosting that includes vB.
