migrate Phorum

    migrate Phorum

    Hello,

    we are on the way to buy VB. Is there any way to migrate all forums, topics and posts into VB 3.0.3 Currently we are using Phorum 3.x at http://www.hro.org/forum

    Hi,

    Status on the phorum importer: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showp...3&postcount=27

    Please note that it imports from the mysql version .

      many?

      If i have several forums inside PHORUM. Each forum is a separate table inside database. Can I import all that forums inside VB? So i have now 4 forums, can i get the same 4 forums inside vb?

      Or the only way of importing is merging topics and threads into one whole big forum?

        yes as far as i understand the importer imports all forums. but if i remember correctly phorum doesnt have catagories so thats why all forums will be imported in 1 catagorie for vbulletin.
        Forums

        All forums are imported into 1 default Category.
        so you dont have to merge everything into 1 forum. As you can see on the front page of this forum there are several catagories like "vBulletin Announcements and Discussions " "Vbulletin sales" "vbulletin 3" etc.

        When you run the importer all your forum will be imported in a default catagorie with your forums listed beneeth it .

          hello guys. Can you help im in migration from phorum 3.4.4 ? i know it's old topic. as phorum 3.4.4 is i have tried to write PM but i cannot write...

            You need to be a vBulletin License Holder to get support on this forum. If you are a license holder log into the Member's Area at https://members.vbulletin.com and enter the email address you used to register at this forum into the Priority Forum Support list- then wait an hour an you will be able to post in the support forums and use the PM system.
