  • Joint License

Is there anyway to buy a license and have another person's name added to it as an owner, while still keeping mine, and only do this for a certain amount of time?

Unfortunately no. There can only be one person listed as the owner of a license. Otherwise this could potentially put us in the middle of license disputes.

Which is why he only wants to do it for a specific amount of time. Me and him want to work on a joint project and having the license in both of our names would help lots

If you are the owner of the license, you could add his email to the list of ppl able to get priority support here @ vbulletin.com.

Yeah, but that isn't legalyl binding, and we want it to be legally binding... To keep one form jerking the carpet out from underneath the other.

Any legalities will have to be between you two. We can only assing one person as the owner of a particular license. The problem you site ('To keep one form jerking the carpet out from underneath the other') is exactly why we don't get involved with these kinds of partnerships. They invariably try to draw us into their dispute.

Ergo - one license - one owner. The rest is up to you guys to sort out.
