Hey there,

I have heard the vB Lite is a free, legal version of vBulletin. I have found a site that hosts the download. Is it legal to download this version for free?

vBulletin Lite is taken out of production and is not free for download anymore. The only place to download it from is our web site (but that is no longer possible) - downloading it from any other web site is considered illegal since it isn't allowed to distribute our copyrighted material out of our web site(s).

We do not have a discounted or free versions for download. You can order vBulletin here: http://www.vBulletin.com/order/ and I advise against using vBulletin lite since it is not support, outdated and full of bugs and security holes. That, and it has only 1% of the features vBulletin has.

vB Lite is a striped down version of vBulletin 1, vBulletin 1 makes phpbb look like it has tons of features
