  • Question about Archive

I have read some posts about VB's archiving feature, but am still confused.
Where can administrator set up this feature?
It is said it is a "built in archive"-- how does it work? Can aministrator decide what and when to archive about a forum?
Looking forward to getting an answer.

    Thanks!

Hi, the search engine-friendly archive is enabled in the admin control panel by the forum's administrator (I believe it is on by default). This creates a text version of the site which allows search engines to index your forum easier. An administrator has the ability to decide whether or not to include a particular forum in the archive, this is set in the forum options part of the admin control panel. Here is an example of the archive.

      again about Archive

Can Administrator moderate the archive setting? say, archive only the threads that have at least one answer.

      Thanks for the prompt response.

No, the archive, is just a text version of the forums, they work the same way the forums do for the most part.

It might be possible to modifiy it to do this, but for that you would need to change the code, so that type of question would be best anwsered at vBulletin.org

No, that is not a feature of the archive.
