That said, it's fairly straight-forward to add a webserver (either IIS or Apache) to a Windows workstation and then install PHP on top of that - that makes a perfect intranet solution.

While this is possible with flat HTML files, it's not possible with dynamic content such as PHP scripts, as the scripts must be processed by the web server before being delivered to the browser.

If you can load network maps in a browser as URL .. then yes.
But I do not have much experience with windows networking in relation to sites.

    Network Possibilities

I have been asked to set up a forum at my work. Although my work does have Internet and Intranet servers I want to set up vBulletin on a networked drive.

Am I able to put vBulletin on a drive that is networked to everyones work pc? You know the sort - in windows you see the extra drives that everyone can access.

I would then link to this drive so people could use the forum.

    Your advice please....

    Thanks
    Jono.
