but I would need my existing EZboard threads imported and would like a price for that as well as an estimate of how long it would take to accomplsh.
Since the conversion from EZB imports threads only, from what I understand, I will need to be able to adjust my member's post counts and ranks once the import is complete - can that be done?
Looked at the template demo quickly, and it looks like I should be able to mimic my existing board layout without too much trouble. Would appreciate if you would confirm here that yes, I will be able to use the header and footer functions to place my board inside of my own custom borders, header, plus right and left sidebars, so it looks like the rest of my site.
Can I customize the smilies and posticons to use larger, custom ones, without causing a lot of formatting problems? Can I use more than the set number I see here?
I have been playing with phpbb for two days now and have learned a lot, but their Mods are not installing correctly for me and I am afraid to try an import and possibly screw up my existing board. At this point, I am ready to just pay for support and installation help so I can get the features I want and get on with it already ... I am soooo tired of EZBoard's bugs... all my members lost their post counts and titles/ranks (again)....

We do the EZBoard import for you at no charge. You just need to request it via the Members Area after you purchase your license. I can't comment on the timing because this is currently done by one person and it depends on his availability. However he's very reliable so I expect this would be done quickly.

As for the customization questions, you can do almost anything you want. vB is very customizable.

Any way to contact this person prior to commiting and get some iidea of the actual time frame? No offense, but a developer's definition of 'quickly' and mine, as an end user, could vary significantly... I am wondering if we are talking days, weeks, or months. Weeks I could handle, months I could not. I would also like to ask that person specifically about installing, whether I should wait and pay them to do it all at once to minimize potential conversion problems, or whether I can go ahead and install my board, tweak it as I like, use it some, and then still get the conversion done wiithout having to duplicate the setup or lose the new data, things like that...

Also was hoping to view the actual bug reports and support requests being made by current users, is that not possible? Seems like the best way to get a grasp on day to day usage issues... I am guessing that member area you mentioned can only be accessed by current users? Any way to get a guest pass?

Freddie does these imports and only he can answer the timing question. It's not a matter of weeks or months.

Days, as in generally one day, even the same day some time. I'll need to see your ezboard before giving you an exact estimate though.
