The importing is what is going to sell the license to me. My forum is over 3k users, and nearly 120k posts. I understand there is a backlog on converting the forums. My question is what an estimated time for this backlog to be caught up is? I've also heard about the tool being released to the public, when is this scheduled? I'm very interested in purchasing the license but having a working import utility at the time of purchase or soon after is imperative. Thank You.

Thanks for the adivce. Has anyone else did the import + upgrade in this manor? If its the only way to go I guess I'll do it but it seems like the more the database is converted and moved around the more chances there are for something going wrong. Maybe I'll wait until next week for the vb3 importer to come out.Vote for these items in the tracker: Image Watermarking ----- Search Algorithm Sucks ----- Drop Main CSS section from style manager ------ Simplify process to accept pending group join requests ------ Add option to publish to the wall of a "Fan Page" in addition to the user's personal FB wall. ------ CMS Should physically resize images into thumbnails and not scale via CSS

Which BB system will you be importing from?Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

Steve this is not my thread but could you tell me if I can import a phpbb database to the latest version of vbulletin or I will have to download an older version of vbulletin first to import the database an then upgrade vbulletin to the latest version?

I'll be upgrading from phpBB 2.08 and would like to of course use the newest version of VB (3.0). I don't see anything that would hinder the import. If worst comes to worst, you might just use vBulletin 2.3.5 as a stepping stone to help you upgrade to vB3ManagerJosh, Owner of 4 XenForo Licenses, 1 vBulletin Legacy License, 1 Internet Brands Suite License
