What is wrong with this site... ya I know, everything

Why does it look like I can post but nothing works..

I don't even know if this thread will work.

We STILL can't view "our post"
    We can't quote anyone now
We can't comment on a post either..

    What does work here?

Ah I found the quote button, but I don't see it on anyone first post.

also I see now in a tiny box above the thread that this thread is "closed' although I see the quick reply box below.

To be fair, the post button has always sort of shown up (though it normally changes its status in a closed thread).

ya but on closed threads we didn't use to see the quick reply box

also is the feedback forum closed, well this thread is there so that's not the case
I don't see a way to reply, quote or comment to anything in this thread

          I don't see that it's closed either

That thread shouldn't be closed, can you take a screen shot of what you're seeing?

I believe you need to purchase a vB5 licence to have posting privileges there. I was trying to help someone with a work around for a vB5 bug only to find I can't post there either. As a wiser man than me once said, stupid is as stupid does

The theory behind that is, people who don't have a vB5 license wouldn't normally need to post in the vB5 support forum.

I thought this was a peer support forum and not one to get official answers from staff????

It doesn't help those who freelance and support all versions of vBulletin much. :\

I totally agree. I don't currently have a vB5 licence but I do provide some level of support for a few people that do. So while it is true that I have no real reason to post in the vB5 forums I do know enough about the product to help solve a few user issues. In fact I have already done so before I lost posting permissions without notice.

Oh well, no good deed goes unpunished as they say

We'll re-evaluate permissions in the future. Currently, the permissions are working for us and enabling us to do our jobs better instead of moderating and deleting posts.

If you're doing freelance work, your customer can add your email to their customer account if you need to post in those forums.

Although I understand your point of view I do think it's a shame. As I said in my previous post, I don't have much reason to post there, I just like to help others if I can.

So I have another question I asked on Twitter but haven't seen a reply yet.

Why is my signature keeping clearned out?
I've had no message as to why it was removed but this is the 2nd time in a few weeks that it's been cleared out.

Is this part of the "upgrade" process now, I really don't see signatures from anyone on the forums as far as that goes.??

                            nice "feature"...

well.. that's interesting, I see it in the post above but not my post from the last time I was here, which I know they were showing before.
