  • why does the text format like this?

It seems like every other reply is formatted weird

This is what I mean, hopefully I'm able to show you
I see several replies that don't extend all the way to
the side, they seem to only show a small paragraph
when actually, the post should go all the way to the edge

This is what is should look like, no word-wrapping at all, text goes all the way to the edge like this example. what's up with that? why is this doing it?
    it looks very unprofessional IMO

hmm, it didn't even work in my example.. is this a bug? the above text in the 2nd paragraph should go all the way to the edges.
now that is really weird, I had to add this bold line to get the 2nd set to extend to the edge...
    now it doesn't show
what is wrong with vBulletin? this is ridiculous IMHO
so refresh once, it's fine, refresh again, it's JACKED UP.... nice work, really...

here is a screenshot because who knows what it'll look like when you visit this thread.

nice how they break things with small updates
I can't even figure out how to add attachments to show you the screenshots.

vbulletin 4.0 is turning out to be a big pile, I've tried and tried to be supportive but with ALL THE BUGS it sure is hard and very frustrating

      *finally figured out the attachments*

It's a fix that literally takes about 20 seconds to implement. Bugs are always frustrating, but to be expected in new major releases.

adding bugs in minor releases is unacceptable!
          4.0.0 to 4.0.1 isn't a major release

having an obvious bug on the starship product just looks sloppy

            vBulletin is a starship product.

By who? I don't expect bugs in final releases.
s.molinari - I would like to ask all customers to definitely feedback issues with the software and be specific with the issues, but to basically suck-up what happened in the past and try to just look forward.

I see the bug is still on vb.com
                sloppy sloppy sloppy
especially when it's been stated that it's an "easy fix" :|

To be fair, a great number of these bugs fall into the "easy fix" category, so it is understandable that they would opt to (wait to) apply one Big Fix in the form of 4.0.2 rather than hundreds of little fixes here and there and everywhere from the "easy fix" bin.

vBulletin used to be developed with a Content Versioning System of some sort, so that bugfixes and improvements quickly went live here at vBulletin.com. Now, it seems vB.com is always running the stated version (4.0.1) in this case. This is a step backwards in development workflow.

That's something I'll agree with, feldon. I don't think developers have much of a say in that work flow process at the moment either, judging by that blog entry from the CEO.

Speaking of style issues, all of the buttons in postbit have a rollover graphic. However none of those rollovers are being preloaded anywhere. So there is an annoying flash when first rolling over all of those buttons.

so this "easy fix" has been jacked up for 10 days now that I've noticed
does iNet even care about vbulletin.com anymore?

                          I don't think so

looks like this is fixed, thanks you!
I like the updated look, I see a few other things have been fixed
you may be able to produce some quality in 4.0 after all
