I personally think announcing important staff changes is NECESSARY for us on a support level. For example I know who is out there and who is not. Everyone knows Wayne and Floris, but not everyone knows some of these other people.

They still have 7 other developers (including Andy, of course). I highly doubt PT will be hard to maintain considering it's probably the most stable product they have out right now.

Boxy hasn't really been active with vBulletin since her son was born. Her last post was in December of 2007. This is not a sudden departure. She merely had her permissions changed recently.

Restructuring is expected after a take over.

But this long after the company was acquired? And this many, what people call "key", staff members? Eh... sorry if I don't share the same confidence about the whole thing as you do.

I've worked in companies where restructuring has taken 2 or 3 years to start (forget when the IB takeover was...).

Either Jelsoft and IB have different ideas and (some of) the original Jelsoft staff decided to leave as they weren't happy with how IB are proceeding or IB want to close up operations in the UK and absorb vB into the IB brand entirely back in LA.

Sad days either way

Less than 2 years then...

Wouldn't say that's an abnormal length of time to re-evaluate a company's direction, product base and own individual business plan before looking at staffing levels.
