    vBulletin Survey

I must say I am very glad to see vBulletin using a survey to help with decision for 4.0. It's ashame they didn't set any question like "Are you able to upgrade to 5.2 if required by the next major vBuletin version" or something like that. Many don't upgrade if they don't need to. I am sure they will think of that if most customers are not using software they were hoping people are using by now .

    Thanks

Yeah, I'd be very happy participating in a public survery for vBulletin in any aspects.

It wasn't so much of a survey of questions and answers, as it was a survey of your server environment.
        It's in your admin panel.

It should appear in your Admin CP as a news item when activated.

oh thats where it was hiding!

I have to agree with --Mad-- that a "can you upgrade php and mysql" question would've been appropriate. I am running older versions of php/mysql (php4.4.1 and mysql 4.1.11) but its my box and can easilly upgrade.

I'm really curious about the Threaded Mode Usage.

I also wondered about it a lot

Survey was a bright idea and i wonder if there are any plans to share the results of the survey when it is complete

They have confirmed that php 4.x will be supported through the 3.x series and pretty much confirmed that it wont be in vb 4.x after reading many posts that highly suggest it. I would be amazed if they did support it tho.

Unfortunatly, customers of vbulletin-germany.com didn't get the message for the survey or does the survey only apply if you've got vB3.7 installed?

vBulletin German will add the survey in their own time as will the Chinese and Hungarian distributors.

We may release some of the survey details but we need to let it run for a while. We are seeing a promising amount of PHP 5 usage.

66.5% who responsed use PHP 5, roughly 82% of those are using PHP 5.2+

Now I hope, we'll get the survey fast.
