  • vBulletin 3.7 Section

Maybe a new forum category is needed. Or at least a section in the project tools for the bugs we are finding?

I spoke to soon about the project tools. I was just looking at the main vbulletin section in the project tools and only saw 3.6,3.5,3.0 bugs. But if you go to make a new bug it has 3.7

Just select "3.7.0 - beta 1" in the project tools when submitting a bug under 3.6 category. I pmed scott about it already.

3.7 forums will (eventually) be added.

The 3.6 forum is booming with 3.7 threads. Even one, simple 3.7 forum for now would keep it a little more organized until the real 3.7 forums come.

vB has inline moderation, I am sure our staff can move threads once there's a forum for it

We have only had one Suggestions & Feedback forum. What is there was once the 2.0 Suggestions and Feedback forum. It just gets moved as new versions come out.

What about the 3.7 link in the project tools under the vBulletin project?

                  With the vBulletin 3.7 Forums...

...the forum homepage is going to start to get stretched out.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to merge/cut down on the number of parent forums when the 3.7 forums are added? I already have a lot of forums collapsed, but it is still rather stretched.

I think forums for some of the older versions of vBulletin (under 3.5) could be cut down significantly to make room for the 3.6 and 3.7 forums combined. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems some forums, like the "vBulletin 2 Bugs" section have not even been posted in for a couple of years.

Announcements, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, blogs, and project tools are fine how they are, but some of the older forums like 3.0 and 2.0 could probably be merged into one category in some way. I also think a revision of the off topic forum would be nice and the vBulletin customizations, vBulletin Feedback and Suggestions (in the 3.6 category), and the vBulletin hosting forum could be added into a new category for vBulletin topics in general.

We're discussing some changes, these should be implemented soon.

I've an idea, what about changing the 3.5, 3.0 and 2.0 forums appear to subforums?

Or using thread prefixes for display 'vBulletin 3.6" and group subforums by activities?

Ex: 1 subforum troubleshooting for all vB versions, managed by thread prefixes This can reduce very quickly the forum home

While you discussing changes - could we possibly have a thread for template hook requests (and preferably a new thread for code hooks, the current one is getting old/big).

Sound acceptable too. I assume each forum will have its unique prefixes.
