            Because it's part of a book series. The same authors also made a book about using IPB.

                  No experience with it. The reason why I would not buy it personally is because it is outdated the moment you receive it.

                    True... though, I don't see it as a bad reference guide for people starting up with using the software.

                              It is a fairly good book but is geared towards new owners and beginners. A lot of the content covered in it is on this website in the online manual or information pages. However, if you want the physical reality of a printed book, it is a nice addition.
