  • Very good Idea 100% No one Can Hack Your AdminNickName

    Hello every one ..

I have some idea if vBulletin do it .. iwill give u all 100% that no buddy can hack your passwerd account Admin or User...............

1- The Admin Can Enter With 2 Nick name

-1- The First name is Called "Source Name"
-2- The Sec Name is The real Name that when u will view the forum etc.

So If any User need to Regisiter .. There is a box called :Source NickName: etc. and then the real name when they will view the topic etc..

so when they will regisiter withthe source name .. when they will come to log in to the forum they most first Enter with the source name and the passwerd .. so it will be in the site the real name ..

the source name is just to protact your account if any User trying to hack your account even if they know your passwerd they cant know your Source Name

also u can add Options in the CPAdmin u can trun it on for the user or trun it off .. etc..

so what do u think .......

    I dont get it?

You can use .htaccess to protect the AdminCP if your server uses apache.

Well you could accomplish this with a new userprofile fields, that display their Public name instead of their username.

If I understand correctly, isn't this just 2 passwords?

no it is not 2 passwerd

            it is 2 nick name

one nick name is just Fake name to enter the site .. so that if any one get your passwerd he dont no your fake name ..

The other name is it will show in the site when u will post and online profile etc...

the fake name is just to protact your account ... even if some one know your real nick name and he know your real passwerd .. then he dontno your Fake name .. when uw ill log in

Which is essentially 2 passwords, because you need 2 hidden bits of information instead of just 1. Htaccess is still a better method.

If they get your password, then you have more important things to worry about.

                  Try security schedules:

Changing mandatory bi-monthly all passwords for your staff. Works for me, and all my clients.

How do you make sure all your staff change their passes though?

Its a usergroup option in vB3, or a hack over at vBulletin.org for vB2.

I always have 2 accounts, 1 admin account and 1 public account. Their passwords differ ofcourse. And .. my admin account isn't userid1

You can use the custom profile feature to ask for a 'public' username, and instead of the real username, only display the public username.
