  • Conflickt with AME

I just experienced a conflict with the AME plug in and the blog.

I had to remove the AME plug in.

That is something you need to contact the author of AME about. It's up to third-party add-ons to be compatible with vB, not the other way around.

I had that problem with my forum last night -- wreaked havoc -- someone should tell the developer!

I suppose it is this error (or closely related):
        Code:
        Database error in vBulletin 3.8.2:

        Invalid SQL:
        UPDATE blog_text SET ame_flag=0 WHERE blogtextid = 0;

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'ame_flag' in 'field list'
        Error Number : 1054

        Error Date : Friday, May 1st 2009 @ 04:27:48 PM

        Referrer : http://www.archeli.com.au/forums/blog_post.php?do=newblog

        Username : ************
        Classname : vB_Database
        MySQL Version : 5.0.60
I have registered the issue here at vb.org
        http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...37#post1802337

update: In fact it seems that this is an error that does not actually prevent the blog entry being inserted into the db. It crashes out to the error but when the user's blog is accessed the entry is correctly stored and present.

Further more it may be that it needs to be reinstalled or somehow configured because I notice this in the setup:
        Code:
AME vbBlog entries and comments Yes No
I am not asking for support, I am reporting that I have requested support at .org and therefore if people find this link here it may be helpful. If that is not acceptable please remove.

        Will

SOLVED FOR ME: Uninstall and reinstall AME.

Again.. You need to contact the developer of the modification. Modification support isn't available here.

In the future, please just post this sort of stuff on vBulletin.org.
