putting the blog search on another page?

What's a good way to go about putting the blog search feature on another page? my blog was edited to be a news thread, so I took out all the vbulletin forums border stuff, which means the blog search drop down is no longer in there.

I'm not sure where that html is located in the templates...anyone know, and can I just take that text area/form out and use them anywhere on another page?

In your case, yes. If you wish something other you'll have to adapt blog_search_advanced.

Is there any simpler search page for blogs? I'm not sure I'd know how to edit that down to the way I need it. I only want a text field and a search button for my site that can search titles and text...and I guess ignore the comments, too, since I see that's an option.

You can comment unnecessary things out and change phrases to fit your needs.
