  • Option to hide navbar-entry in beta II ?

    Hi,

is there any option to disable the navbar-entry (the new dropdown-menu) for the blog?
I could not find an option and had to deactivate the plugin "Navbar: Eval Blog Link Template and Validate Styleid".

Is it worth a feature-request or did I just miss an option?

    kind regards,
    Gérome

This is the new way it is listed, and there's no option to turn it off.

      Thanks for your answer. :-)
I will try to place a corresponding feature-request.

// edit: hm. The Bugtracker has no room for requests like this. :-(

        brainstorm moment: blog_navbar_link
maybe remove the script from the template, and the popup code.

I just upgraded to the beta blog, but the new menu doesn't appear in the navbar. I wasn't directed to revert any templates like normal upgrades tell me to. Would reverting my navbar fix this?

Make sure you run 3.7.3 or higher.
Edit the navbar template, and find:
            Code:
            <td class="vbmenu_control"><a rel="help" href="faq.php$session[sessionurl_q]" accesskey="5">$vbphrase[faq]</a></td>
and on a new line in front of it, IF IT IS NOT THERE, add:
            Code:
            $template_hook[navbar_buttons_left]
And save the template, see if it appears now.

It appears, but it also makes the project tools link appear. I took it out and just added it as part of the forum. Is there a way to show the menu without the PT link?

No, they both show using that hook.

You can delete the hook from the project tools.

                        In the plugin manager.
