Sure the blog works and everything appears right but you can not uodate the blog counts as I stated. Look at the query I posted and the error. It makes no sense as noted the mysql user does have permissions as it is the one used by vbulletin but for whatever reason you cannot do the update counts maintenance.

We can send an admin login for you to go into admin and see the error I am posting. I think the error shows the action we are doing in admin

You probably don't have access to use the TEMPORARY TABLE command. I've implemented a workaround in 1.0.1

well right now the product is unusable because I can not update counters the imported blogs can not be viewed so what would you suggest. I am dealing with an impex import and a product that has issues so I need to resolve this and get a properly running blog.

You or your host will need to change the permissions of your vB user to give it the ability to use the TEMPORARY TABLE command.

[QUOTEYou or your host will need to change the permissions of your vB user to give it the ability to use the TEMPORARY TABLE command. ][/QUOTE]

The problem in this thread refers to my vbulletin Blog that was installed yesterday. (http://www.wideberthasmessageboard.com). My users cannot find their old posts. I have absolutely no idea how to give it the ability to use the Temporary Table Command. Is there anyone who can do this for me? I also cannot update the counters and the imported blogs can not be viewed. I would not have upgraded my vbulletin message board and had the blog installed if I had known that I would run into these problems which I do not have the technicial ability to solve.

The impex import did not import the old posts from VBJournal as I was lead to believe that it would.

Please let me know how I can get this fixed as soon as possible and if there is someone who can fix this for me.

              Thank you,
              Widebertha

I have instructed widebertha to contact her host on this issue but seems rather inefficient to code in a special table command which not all hosts may support. Your vbulletin product does not use such a command to update post counts etc now does it.
